Folded With Love – February 2026

Folded With Love was an event hosted at the Cultural Arts Gallery as part of Healthy Relationships Week, a campus-wide initiative by the Office of Health and Wellness focused on fostering positive connections, whether friendships, romantic relationships, or professional ones.

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, visitors were invited to write Valentine’s Day-themed fortunes and then learn how to fold them into origami fortune cookies. They were encouraged to leave a cookie behind for someone else to find, and by the end of the event, the mug we set out was overflowing. We left it at the gallery door for the rest of the week, so the giving could keep going long after the event ended.

The fortunes themselves were everything: friendly words of encouragement, sappy booktok-esque romance confessions, and more than a few silly pop culture references. It was one of those events that reminded you how much people genuinely want to connect with each other when you give them a simple, low-pressure way to do it.
